'The Affairs of Chip Harrison' collects together Lawrence Block's four novels featuring the naive but willing teenager. The first two centre on Chip's 'rites of passage', with a mystery or two thrown in to justify the genre label. The remainder see Chip solving elaborate puzzles in the style of Gideion Fell. Smatterings of sex, classy writing and plots that show Block at his sneakiest make this a reissure well worth seeking out.
