Victor Gischler

About Victor Gischler

Victor Gischler lives in Skiatook, Oklahoma among the scorpions and the cowpokes. He teaches creative writing at Rogers State University. His crime-writing heroes are Scott Phillips, James Crumley, and John D. MacDonald. Warren Zevon, Abba and Frank Sinatra make his toe tap. Boy bands and most other pop make him reach for his Webley revolver (and/or his double-barrel shotgun). He digs BLADE RUNNER because it blends sci-fi and noir, IN HARM'S WAY because it blends Otto Preminger with John Wayne and KILL BILL because it makes nice people cry. Victor's first novel, Gun Monkeys, was nominated for the Edgar Award.
